March is usually for spring cleaning, so we decided to freshen up our navigation and provide an overall lighter look but refreshing all our icons. We also made it easier to link cards and provide more flexible pricing options.
All this cleaning up will make more room for adding new Zones… You can see a sneak peek of the upcoming List Zone from this improved navigation. The next release will be focused on adding the List Zone.
Improved Navigation
In order to provide quick access to everything you need in Kanban Zone, we split our navigation into two levels… Global vs Local navigation.
The top navigation bar is all about accessing Global options like our website, choosing your Zone and managing the global options: Account, Help, Search, and Alerts.
The second navigation below the Global navigation is to access everything Local (i.e.: related to your selected Zone). A significant improvement is the ability to switch between organizations and also apply a logo to your organization. Everything else shown on the right side of the Local navigation is related to the selected board (i.e.: Add Card, Metrics, Options, and Filter).
NOTE: To update the logo of your organization, open your organization overview and click the “Edit” link next to the organization logo.
Easy Card Linking
This change was to move the link relationship as part of the action of creating the link. Now when you click “Link Card”, you also get to select the link type (parent/child or predecessor/successor).
Be aware that this change should cause you to link more of your cards, because it’s such a pleasurable experience now.
More Pricing options
We continue to offer three plans (Personal, Startup, Enterprise). The first two plans are flat fees ($5 and $10), but the third plan for Enterprise is $7/license. Here is the breakdown:
- Personal = 2 licenses, 5 boards
- Startup = 6 licenses, 10 boards
- Enterprise = minimum of 10 licenses, unlimited boards
The change is that the Enterprise plan used to only offer increments of 10 licenses (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc…), but based on feedback for smaller organizations, we added 15 and 25, so the new scale for Enterprise is now 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, etc… If you add all the plans then the overall scale for licenses is 2, 6,10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, etc…
Flexible pricing options and still the most cost-effective way to implement Kanban because subscribers/viewers do not consume any licenses.
