We have been mentioning My Zone before, but it’s finally here… your personal dashboard to see all your work at a glance. Expect more to come from My Zone, as we will be adding a self-paced learning component to help you discover the Kanban method and get rewarded with fun badges to recognize your proficiency.
We also improved the interface for checklists and tasks on cards. We hope that these small changes will help you be even more productive when using tasks.
My Zone
Get ready to become even more effective with My Zone! You can now target the work that you know needs to be done, see all the work that is assigned to you, or that you are watching out for.
There are 3 widgets in My Zone:
- My Focus to target work that you need to focus on now until it’s 100% done!
- My Stuff to quickly see all the cards or tasks that are assigned to you as the owner, so you can select the ones to add to My Focus.
- Column Watching to keep an eye on all the cards that are in columns that you watch on any board in Kanban Zone.
Improved Checklist & Tasks
The screenshot below shows you the new look for tasks. If you just want to capture quick task descriptions and nothing else, then that’s all you will see (no more icons cluttering the right side). On the other hand, if you do want to set due dates and a clear owner on a task then these icons will show on the right of your task descriptions.
When you edit a task, you will notice a toolbar with many actions that you can take on a task. The first icon on the left will let you hyperlink any text you select. The next two icons are about setting an owner and a due date. The next one will let you create a link to an attachment on the card, which is extremely helpful when seeking to explain a task by referring to a picture or document. The next one is that target that once clicked will add a red arrow to signal that this task is in My Focus. Lastly, the ability to convert a task to a card and the ability to delete a task.
