Release Notes > 06/02/2020

This month we have a small release but filled with fun and helpful improvements. Next month, be ready for advanced member management to provide more flexibility to manage your organization.

Card Aging

We are very excited about this card aging feature, that you can access under Options > Board Settings > Card Aging.

It’s a simple way to visualize your cards in terms of how long they have been stuck not moving on the board. If you leave a card without making any updates on the card or moving it to a new column, then the card will start aging by changing color based on 3 levels that you can configure for each board.

Kanban Zone - card aging edit

As shown above, you can set 3 levels of card aging in terms of minutes, hours, days, weeks or months. For each level, we show how the cards will look on your board. Go ahead and turn on this new feature on your board… You will immediately see which cards have been stuck and need your attention.

This is what we call a fun feature that is also helpful because it nicely “shames” people on your board you need to get these cards moving. Ultimately helping to improve the flow on your Kanban board.

Improvements

  • The board filter now provides the ability to filter by your favorite cards. If you click the heart icon on a card, this will set the card as a favorite and now if you filter a board by Favorite, you will see a board full of cards with beautiful hearts ♥ ♥ ♥ Just in time for Valentine’s Day!
  • If you copy an image to your clipboard on your device, you can now paste that image onto a card using the paste command on your device. Simply have a card open and do a Control+P on Windows to paste from your clipboard and magically that image will get attached to your card, without having to save it first to your device and then uploading it.

Fixes

  • No more mystery when you invite a new member, we now show the email of the person you invited. We know this one was a little silly, but it’s fixed now.

As always, don’t hesitate to send us your feedback so that we can continue to improve Kanban Zone. You will never hurt our feelings if you find an issue or something that could be improved, so don’t be shy.
